WWE Immortals

WWE Immortals was a mobile fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios, the creators of the Mortal Kombat series, and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It was released in January 2015 for iOS and Android. The game reimagined WWE characters in a supernatural, fantasy-themed setting.

Description

In WWE Immortals, WWE Superstars and Divas were transformed into fantastic versions of themselves. Their powers and appearances reflected mythological or supernatural themes. Each character had different personas, such as “Demon Kane,” “Cyborg Brock Lesnar,” or “Undead Undertaker.” They were portrayed as larger-than-life warriors with unique abilities.

Gameplay

WWE Immortals was a 3-on-3 tag-team fighting game with touch-based controls. It was similar to other mobile fighting games, such as Injustice: Gods Among Us and Mortal Kombat Mobile .

1. Combat System :
   • Players tapped and swiped the screen to perform basic attacks, heavy attacks, and combos.
   • The game featured an energy bar that filled up during combat. This allowed characters to use powerful signature moves or special abilities.
   • Characters could switch out during battle to rest or recover. Players could create various team combinations to maximize synergy.
2. Super Moves and Finishers : Each character had special moves unique to their supernatural persona. These moves were often inspired by their real-life WWE counterparts. For example, John Cena’s character had moves based on his iconic “Attitude Adjustment,” while Undertaker’s version unleashed dark powers.
3. Progression :
   • Players could collect new characters through booster packs or in-game purchases.
   • Characters could be leveled up, equipped with gear, and upgraded with more powerful moves as players progressed.
   • There were different character classes (Bronze, Silver, Gold) which dictated the strength of the characters.
4. Game Modes :
   • Story Mode : This mode allowed players to progress through a series of battles while unlocking rewards and progressing the narrative.
   • Multiplayer : Players could engage in online multiplayer fights with other players to earn rewards and ranking points.
   • Challenge Events : Weekly challenges offered limited-time events where players could win exclusive characters or rewards.
